| ABSTRACT The aim of this study was to characterize the thermal environment in the selection and packing areas of a packing house and its effects on the quality of table grapes produced in the São Francisco Valley, Brazil. The thermal environment was monitored during the winter and summer seasons. The highest value of air temperature (Tair) and the lowest relative humidity (RH) observed in the packing house were 35 °C and 40.0%, respectively, obtained during the summer, for 8 h. | ABSTRACT The purpose of this study was to evaluate the spatial variation of temperature, relative humidity and black globe humidity temperature (BGHT) index in growing-finishing swine facilities, with and without evaporative air cooler. The experiment was conducted in a 60 x 9 m facility containing 32 pens of 3.20 x 4.00 m each, divided into two sectors. The treatments were without evaporative air cooler (control) and with evaporative air cooler. | A temperatura do ar é um elemento climático de interesse para diversos estudos relacionados à produção agrícola. A partir de dados de temperatura do ar de Botucatu, SP, e Petrolina, PE (diferentes classificações climáticas), medidos entre janeiro de 2004 e dezembro de 2005, foram selecionados dados pontuais com intervalos de seis horas entre cada observação para cada dia. Desta forma, foram analisados três conjuntos de dados, variando a hora do primeiro registro, utilizando a técnica de geoestatística com o intuito de verificar e quantificar o grau de dependência temporal entre as observações.
